It’s hard to believe that something as monumental as the taking of Tripoli is happening RIGHT NOW, and no one seems to know about it. Shit is going down with Israel and Palestine; Israel bombing the shit out of Gaza in retaliation for an attack on an Israeli bus where eight people died even though the perpetrators are already dead! Americans know nothing about continued US drone strikes in Pakistan and about the 1,650-2,588, many of which are civilian casualties, not Taliban fighters. Things like these are reshaping the world in which we live, yet the public doesn’t seem to understand their magnitude, due in large part to the silence on the news.
Knowledge is power and our government is keeping people in the dark. This isn’t North Korea, Cuba, or Iran. There is a lot going on in the world, yet major news networks are mostly keeping mum about it. Our free press shouldn’t just cover the issues that are convenient and I will bet my ass that the government has its nasty hand involved in it.
I’m not going to be like “REBLOG IF YOU AGREE”, but seriously, don’t you think we have a right to know what is going on?
